History of Communication Networks

Communication networks enable users to transfer information in the form of voice, video, electronic mail or e-mail and computer files. Users request the communication service they need by means of simple procedures using a telephone handset or cellular phone, set-top TV box, or through applications running on a host computer such as PC or workstation.
